The club has incorporated and has applied to become a 501 (c) 3 with the Internal Revenue Service.
What do these things mean to you? With the acceptance from the IRS being a 501 (c) 3 our cash contributions to the organization are tax deductible, mileage for traveling around doing errands for the club is also tax exempt. (please check with your tax professional to see how it effects your personal taxes).
If a large contributor (i.e., Lab Safety, General Motors...etc) donates to the organization they receive a tax break as well. Sorry, but the soccer fees are not deductible.
